What about kids?

  • Our goal is to introduce children to the love of God in a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Nursery care is provided in a loving and consistent environment by a competent adult and her assistant. Parents may bring children before worship or anytime during the service.
  • Other children and youth begin worship with the rest of the church family. About 20 minutes into the service, children are invited to come forward for a story and prayer.
  • Children and teachers then go together for time in classrooms learning and having fun in “Godly Play.”
  • All children return to services on Communion Sunday to share this experience with their families. (Children are always welcome to stay with their families during worship. Coloring books and reading materials are provided.)
  • Following Sunday services children visit and eat snacks at their own pint-sized tables and chairs.
  • Middle and high school youth are led in spiritual exploration by a teacher/pastor.
  • Occasional special events - including the annual Jesus’ Birthday Party and Picnic Sunday with a water slide and games - are designed with kids in mind.
