The People’s Climate March, Sunday Sept. 21 in NYC

This march was the largest march calling for action on the climate. There were over 2,000 folks from Vermont to make the March. Grace Winslow, Barbara True-Weber, Kathy Shaw, and Mike Weber were 4 folks from our congregation to go. Thanks to them for representing us and helping to voice our concern for the environment!

As the sign reads, the wall of cartons are from 27 churches.  They weigh 3,092 pounds and contain 777 School Kits, 706 Hygiene Kits, 170 Baby Kits, 2 Flood Buckets, 25 Quilts, 1 Box of Rolled Bandages.  The estimated value is $24,150!!

These flags are prayers for the Earth.  Folks put their intentions in a prayer as they decorate the flag.  Then as the flag hangs flapping in the wind, the prayers are spread.


Youth Group’s Potato Brunch

Thank you to all for your generosity!  The youth group raised enough money to send one team to the Big Brother’s Big Sister’s of Bennington Bowl-A-Thon on April 5th.  There was also enough money raised to put aside for our Mission trip this summer.  THANK YOU!!
