What: A community celebration of the environment and sustainability with live music, over 25 local community groups, special displays, break out sessions, kids activities, and a delicious luncheon. Date: August 25 Rain or Shine Time: 10 am-3 pm PLUS: Special talk on Vermont and Environmental Policy by State Senator Brian Campion: August 24, 7pm
Place: Second Congregational Church, 115 Hillside St, Bennington Admission: Free!
Music: Hale Mountain Pickers and the Throwbacks
August 24, at 7 pm at Second Congregational Church. State Senator Brian Campion: “Vermont and Environmental Policy: The Green Mountain state is not as green as you might think.” This important discussion will look at what the state is and isn’t doing around such issues as cleaning up its waters, mitigating climate change, and protecting its residents from harmful chemicals. Senator Campion will discuss how citizens can most effectively advance state environmental policies important to them. It is sure to interest anyone who cares about the environment and wants to learn what more they can do to protect it.
